ClearlyRated to Publish its Inaugural List of Best Staffing Firms for Women

Original post was updated on March 8, 2024

Women leaders are essential to business success. According to McKinsey & Company’s Women in the Workplace 2022 report, they do more than their male counterparts to support employee well-being and foster Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), two areas rightly receiving additional attention in recent years. And, as the report shows, this is especially true of women leaders, who often feel “overworked and underrecognized.”

One million women have left the workforce since 2020. Beyond contending with their heavier workload during the pandemic – both at home and at work – women face stronger headwinds and bias while trying to advance their careers. Unfortunately, the staffing industry is far from immune to these realities.

We at ClearlyRated believe that now is the time to highlight the importance of supporting women in the workforce and to recognize the staffing firms that provide the best employee experience for their female internal employees.

The 2024 list of Best Staffing Firms for Women will be published on March 19, 2024 on ClearlyRated.com.

How Firms Can Earn the Best Staffing Firms for Women Designation

Staffing and recruiting firms that conduct internal employee surveys with ClearlyRated are eligible to earn the Best of Staffing® award in the Employee Satisfaction category. Within this category, firms that surveyed or survey their internal employees (including identity-based demographic survey questions) and that meet the following criteria may earn the additional designation as a member of the Best Staffing Firms for Women (BSFW) list:

  • SIZE: A minimum of 15 employee survey responses, and at least 47% of the responses from employees who identify as Female
  • SATISFACTION: Net Promoter® Score (NPS®) of 50% or above for those who identify as Female
  • REPRESENTATION: Female representation above U.S. workforce (at least 47% of staff who identify as Female)
  • OPPORTUNITY: Females represent at least 47% of total leadership roles (Branch Manager and above)
  • EQUITY: There is no significant gap in satisfaction (less than 15 percentage points) between male and female employees at the firm. This requirement will not be considered unless there are 50+ male respondents. If considered, it is considered “equitable” as long as the eNPS for females is within 15 points of the eNPS for males.

The Benefits of Inclusion on the Best Staffing Firms for Women List

Like the Best of Staffing award, the BSFW list is more than a simple designation. Our vision is that this program will serve as a beacon to talented women in staffing. When you take full advantage of your BSFW designation, it will buoy your recruitment marketing efforts, build your reputation as a great place to work, and reinforce the fact that you make special efforts to support and champion your female employees. Some additional benefits:

  • Positive PR exposure via inclusion on the published list, which ClearlyRated will promote via a press release to the North American newswire
  • Increased traffic to your ClearlyRated profile page via links in the published list, which drives more lead generation opportunity and visits to your website
  • Additional opportunities to highlight and celebrate your Best of Staffing Employee win and BSFW list inclusion with your employees internally and with recruits externally
